Another CCGrass hockey surface has been installed by AS Sports Systems at Shobnall Leisure Complex in Burton on Trent and is the primary pitch for Barton HC.
The installed surface is the FastPro HF 18, which is a heavyweight 18mm texturized turf, which has sand added to support the pile and provide perfect footing for players. Jacob Foster, Barton Hockey Club, was happy to comment on the club’s new hockey surface,
“The new surface now makes our facility one of the best around. The new pitch is now one of the quickest pitches about, plays like a water-based pitch in the wet and is still very fast and smooth in the dry. This is something that most new pitches usually struggle with and become sticky and slow without the wet but something the CCGrass surface has definitely overcome.
The feedback from all members has been very positive and has increased the speed of play all around.
The contrast color scheme of green and light blue really stands out and also makes the facility look fantastic as well as play great.”
FastPro HF surfaces are fully tested to FIH standards, with CCGrass one of eleven global FIH Preferred Suppliers, and only one of three that has complete production of yarn and turf under one roof. Bryn Lee, CCGrass UK office CEO commented,
“Having complete control of your supply chain matters. It means that we can ensure the total quality of what we make and supply. At Shobnall, the pitch was delivered on time, ready to install, and, thanks to AS Sports’ great installation team, is a fantastic surface for hockey.”
“Not every hockey club needs a fully watered hockey surface to play on, and that is why many choose our FastPro HF18 system. It has more fibre in than nearly all other sand-dressed surfaces, which means players play on the grass, rather than on the sand. Visually, FastPro always looks great, but more importantly, it plays consistently fast and true for many years.”
